2007 Schedule

Please check my updated schedule for an available session date. I am sad to say I don't have anymore openings in November and very few left for December 2007.

Kaci.Senior

So, two weeks ago I did Kaci's first senior session. I went out to her house and met her mom, best friend, dog and horse. The funny thing about the dog is she is a doxin (i think that's how you spell it) and she looves to eat the horses poop and hoofs. It's really funny, because she is so tiny and hangs out in the horse pin as if she was one of them.
Kaci was geared up with all kinds of cute outfits and fun accessories. Check out her cool necklace combo she put together. If you have a session with me this fall, be ready for the wind...
Kaci with her baby...
Look at those chompers! I think someone goes to the dentist!

Thanks Kaci for an awesome time and willingness to do anything!
Stop by and say hello my blogger friends!

Sessions!

Wow! This summer and fall season has been going non stop and I can't tell you how blessed I feel. I have had so many senior and family sessions that I almost don't know what to do with myself.

Thanks to everyone that I've booked this summer and fall year. I have had a blast with each one of you and I just wanted you to know that. I have to remember that I wouldn't be here if it weren't for all of my clients, and God of course.

My belly has been growing, but I haven't let that stop me from laying down on the ground to get some of my shots. I have to modify a little though. I am 6 months and Benson is definitely moving around and kicking. Tonight he did a power kick that had me gasp a little. My baby is super strong!

I am working on posting more sessions, so please be patient with me as I am slowly getting those up. And when I do, don't forget to drop by and say hello every now and then on the comments!

20,000 blessings

OH MY GOSH! The blog has made it all the way to 20,000. I have had this blog since June 2006 and I can't believe we are at 20,000! That is half of Clovis by the way.

Thanks to all of my blog friends for coming back each week. I want to see how many I can get from this date, Oct 15th, all the way to Nov 15th. Help me get those numbers up-tell everyone you know! Especially if you session is on the blog. Brag to friends and tell them they need to go check out your cool senior pics.

Thanks everyone! Love ya and peace out...

Whitney.Senior

I had two sessions with Whitney in one week and wow did we get some awesome shots. These are some of my most favorites shots from her senior session. I love my job! I mean how could I not when I have great models like this cutie. She new how to strike a pose and give me that awesome stare. She has a beautiful smile too. I had a crazy hard time finding which ones I wanted to put up on the blog to share too.
Thanks Whitney for two awesome sessions and thanks to Amanda, one of my senior ambassadors for coming along and being my "popper" girl. I can't tell you what a difference it makes with the reflector, especially the gold side.
taken with 50mm 1.2 lens, using natural lighting and gold reflector-thanks to my assistant Amanda.
taken with 24 mm lens, using 580 speedlite on camera

Suzette.Senior

I had so much fun with this senior girl. She came from Roswell for the afternoon for her senior pictures. We went to new places too! It was so much fun, because I feel like I haven't been to new locations in a while. She was fun and very bubbly, and making my job so much fun.
This is how she was most of the time-laughing.
I couldn't decide on the coloring for these last two images, so I posted both.
This one has a contrast boost and...

Contrast reduction, with a tea stain look from Kevin Kubota (opacity used on the action)
I was trying to make it look kind of like the images in the Anthropologie catalogs.

Please leave a comment below of your favorites or questions of techniques I used.
By the way, have I mentioned I've been using my gold reflector on every session lately and it really makes a difference. If you don't have a gold reflector or you don't use yours, you really should. It makes the subject and overall image pop!
All of these pics were taken either with the 24mm 1.4 or the 50mm 1.2

Ogilvie brothers

I feel like this pictures could be on their CD cover if they had a band called the "Ogilvie Brothers."

I also have a cool shot of them on their motorcycles, but I'm still working on it.
Enjoy the favorites and leave a comment!

How blessed am I to be photographing another Schaap family! I have photographed four different Schaap families and it has been too much fun. These kids were adorable. I mean, just look at those sweet little faces...

Winnie.kids

Winnie came out of the car dressed in her cute pink tutu and I got so excited. I love little girls in tutu's. This little girl and her mama were my first clients as Cristy Cross Photography when I lived in Albuquerque. I have taken her birthday pics ever since she was one and she is now three. It is so cool to see her grow! I will say that she is a lot easier to photograph as a three yr old than a one yr old. I chased this girl all over the place when she was little while taking her picture. And I was using film then, so I had no idea if I was even getting any good shots.
I guess since they've been coming back that means they liked them.
Here are a few favorites of this curly head cutie...

Amanda.Senior

Don't let this girl fool you with her shy-ness. This gorgeous girl is very outgoing and the camera loves her.
Amanda is another one of my senior ambassador's for 2008. I can't wait for her next session!
